Skilled Foundry Workers / Operators


Job Responsibilities
As a skilled operator in a Foundry, you will be responsible for performing one or a combination of the following tasks: melting metal, pouring metal, removing castings from molds, dressing castings, operating machinery (furnaces and other equipment) as well as moving material and cleaning equipment. 

Your specific duties in this role will include:

•        Assemble flasks, using wrenches, bolts, tap screws etc.

•        watering and mixing sand, shoveling sand into flasks and compacting in flasks

•        Melting metals and pouring metals into molds

•        Operate, monitor and adjust furnaces and other foundry machinery 

•        Removing castings from molds, repairing molds, cleaning molds 

•        Other job duties, as requested 

Job Requirements

Skilled Foundry Workers / Operators


We are looking for skilled foundry operators with the expertise and professionalism to perform exceptionally well and with minimal guidance, particularly in high-pressure and high-temperature work environments. You must also be an excellent communicator with the ability to interact effectively with all departments and supervisors/managers.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

•        1 year' minimum experience performing any of the following roles in a foundry facility: molding, melting, pouring, machine operation, quality, patternmaking, shake out etc. 

•        Ability to perform physically demanding work in high temperature facilities, for 8-10 hours/day

•        Ability to stand for 8, 10 or 12 hour work day shifts perform physically demanding work, lifting/pushing/pulling/moving 50+ lbs. consistently throughout the day  

•        Ability to work  2nd or 3rd shift and overtime for the duration of the assignment (60+ hours/week)
